Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. * Positive attitude toward other employees, customers and supervisors * Able to handle many/varied details in a pressure situation * Extensive knowledge of product, customers and equipment * Working knowledge of ACI and ASTM Standards, and TxDOT specifications. * Current knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations. * Keeps a written daily log of activities and observations. * Must be able to work on problem prevention related to mechanical failure, customer service, quality, and safety. * Ability to do QA/QC testing at plant site on ready mix concrete including slump, entrained air, unit weight and yield. * Knowledge of proper mix designs, scale weights water demand and admixtures at batch plants. * Orders and maintain an excellent personal safety record and a clean/safe work environment * Diagnose and assists in trouble-shooting when process is interrupted * Maintains material inventories and orders materials as needed * Visually inspect concrete on as needed basis * Visually inspect loading trucks to assure proper positioning for delivery of product * Record daily delivery statistics and daily maintenance activities * Performs daily preventative maintenance - tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hoses for leaks and all moving parts for proper function. * Operates loader to transfer material from yard to storage bins and stock piling. * Efficiently operates batching facilities and maintains maximum production levels Primary functions are to safely operate daily production of Ready Mix facilities and material. This position reports to the Plant Manager and will be in a role of secondary supervision.
